Toihaus x Frieda Paris:
Tilting Moments
Performance + reading
How can moments of tipping be captured? When do they begin, where do they end – and are we in the middle of them? In an interplay of performance and text, ‘Tilting Moments’ is dedicated to the fleeting moment of transition. Steps, breath and wind set a large cloth in motion in the Toihaus performance – wave after wave, rising and falling. ‘Perhaps it all has to do with breath (breath), with the breath of words,’ author Frieda Paris might respond with her long poem ‘Nachwasser’ (Edition Azur, published by Voland & Quist, 2024). This unique evening brings together reading and performance, allowing the shifts around us to shine through.
