Rauschen (Noise)
A performative installation
In the performative installation “Rauschen” (Noise), several performers bring rhythmic gymnastics ribbons into continuous oscillation. Driven by the power of electronic music, the ribbons show variations of motion patterns and their respective spheres of action. An interplay between childlike joy and arduous work, between might and helplessness, between self-efficacy and abandonment. The minimal shift in parameters like speed and intensity gives a sense of noise.
