Hard Skills

A Performative Installation
by Cornelia Böhnisch

Premiere: December 3, 2026 – 7:30 p.m.

The creations of Cornelia Böhnisch are characterized by an intense interplay of choreography, spatial conception, and material exploration. In her new production, “Hard Skills,” a landscape in motion takes shape in form of a rotating wall made of long textile cords. Two performers weave through the material, dive into it, and then release themselves again.

The wall, offering both permeability and resistance, opens up a space for experiencing embodiment, connectedness, and transience. The title of this performative installation refers to a form of knowledge that is increasingly falling into oblivion: the ability to be nature. Thus, “Hard Skills” is an invitation to perceive a collectively emerging network in which humans and their environment are inseparably connected.
